Had To Make the Daffodils Again

Good afternoon every one.  I loved these daffodils so much that I had to make another card.  The sentiment is from Sassy and Crafty Healing Heroes free digital printable.  The Digi file for the daffodils can be found the Multi Crafter's Cafe Facebook page.  This card was made to bring cheer to someone who is working hard at smiling. During this pandemic, everyone is being affected. Whether they are dealing with having to stay at home with no source of income of are front line workers and are worried they may bring disease home to their loved ones. Everyone is worried and this is leading to more illness due to stress.
Thank you for visiting my blog today

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here sharing my project for The Coffee Beans Blog. using the adorable digi stamp, Alicorn and musical cloud, had draw by our very own Judy Markowitz!

Alicorn  is such a versatile digi stamp , birthday, congrats, or inspirational, as I used her in my project, and more.

Here is what I did:

Color Alicorn and cut out. Brush on Wink of Stella for lots of sparkle. Punch a 3 inch circle from pattern paper. pop dot Alicorn on the 3 inch circle, add sequins and sentiment. turn the circle over, glue multi colored eyelash trim. Adhere wood stick on the back, ad wrap with a piece of eyelash trim to cover the stick.

A little bit Outlandish

Hello all - Helle here with a new card project for the Coffee Beans Design Team.

This time I've done it a bit differently meaning that instead of coloring in a digi stamp, I've used the print and cut option in my Silhouette Studio Software. It's a bit more of a lazy approach but if you - like me - aren't the best with markers or crayons, it's a great alternative.

This time I used digi stamps made by our own Anne Ingram and Annie Collins. These stamps are available in the Lady Beans Etsy Store

I originally intended this to be a bridal project but when searching for digi paper to use, I came across this lovely paper by Lettering Delights - A Wee Bit Scottish and this of course refers to the TV series Outlander.

So this is what I came up with:

I pictured these to be Claire's shoes ;-)

The shoes are by Anne and the flowers are by Annie.

I did use a Promarker for the center of the flowers + a Gelly Roll Pen with glitter.

The background is made with digi paper and a Celtic Knot Motif from the Silhouette Design Store ID #57808.

Finally I added a small sentiment written with a Celtic font.

I think it rather fun that you can use this method too. What do you think? Please let me know in a comment below.

Thanks for joining me today - hope to see you back here very soon.

Wedding Season Is Upon Us

The more elegant the wedding, the more elegant the cake.  This Digi file from Anne Ingram was sponged in Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, and Wild Honey Inks. The design on the cake is an image from Simon Says Stamp's Thankful Flowers stamp set, heat embossed in Caramel Cosmic Semi Transparent Embossing Powder from Sparkle and Sprinkle. Glitter Peel Off Stickers from Love from Lizi.  Sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Congratulations stamp set, heat embossed in the same Caramel embossing powder.  The mats are gold mirror, peach colored, and designer card stock on top of Whisper White A2 card base.  Had a lot of fun making this card.

The spring / summer coffee lovers blog hop

Hello Anne  Ingram here with  second card for the coffee lovers blog hop

For this card I made a 5x7 Z fold card embossed with the sizzix cherry blossom folder. . I added red card and sentiment to the inside. I used a digital image of the coffee cup and beans by our very own Annie Collins . I used spectrum noir Alcohol pens to colour the card and then spritzed the whole are with imagine sparkle spray.
Thank you to Annie for the great image and thank you for visiting here.

Hugs

Anne ❤

Hi everyone Anne here . This year is flying past! It will be June next week and it is the most popular time of the year for weddings, so I thought I would draw some blanks of a wedding cake and a horse shoe and decorate them to make the following .

For the cake I changed the size of Annie Collins cosmos flower graphic . I Coloured them in spectrum noir DR6 and stuck them round the cake that I waterwashed in ivory, outlined in DR6 and spritzed in imagine sheer shimmer spray . I then shrunk the horseshoe , painted it gold and out of on the top of the cake .
The card is an easel card I embossed with the dotty Darice folder .

The horseshoe I quilled 2 white flowers and the middle are Nuvo drops in blue. I coloured the shoe in silver and added a black cat from my free images stash. Finally added a piece if ribbon ready to give the bride .

The horseshoe card is a fold back front such has been embossed with the dotty Darice folder . The horse shoe is a smaller version of the bridal lucky shoe only with quilled flowers in purple plum .

So if the blanks are available in our etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ladybeandigistamps

Thanks for stopping by xxx

Everyone Knows How Much I Love Glitter

Hello all. Salima here with Judy Markowitz's infamous Alicorn.  Isn't he just beautiful.  I used rainbow colored Stampin Blends to color his main in the colors: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Shaded Spruce, Seaside Spray and Blackberry Bliss.  His unicorn and front bangs are all glittered up with Nuvo Pure Sheen glitter: Glitter Diamond and Glitter Champagne. I cut a couple of curves in some scrap paper and used that to represent clouds with Impression Obsessions Rose colored hybrid dye ink.  Gold mirror paper is the matting for our image. Sentiment is from The Ton stamp set called Easy Expressions layered on Gold Mirror paper.  You know the shine from the glitter was not enough. I took my Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker and went over the main of Alicorn to make him shine just a little bit more. They don't call me the Glitter Queen for nothing!
You can find Judy's Alicorn Digi Stamp here
Thank you for visiting.

Absolutely Magical!

I used two images from created by our lovely Judy Markowitz of the Lady Beans - both are available for purchase in the Multi Crafters Craft Cafe on Facebook.

To create this card, I first made the background. I used watercolor cardstock cut at 4x6. For the background I alternated Mustard Seed and Pickled Raspberry crayons by Distress Inks. They are water reactive. I then used gold glitter ink by Spectrum Noir. Once I had the background created I printed the musical background.

I printed and cut out Anicorn. I used both Spectrum Noir and Copics to color her.

 Spectrum Noirs:

HB1, GN2, LV1, LV2, and LV3

 Copics:

BV000, BV00, and RV02 for the wings.

The two images just work perfectly together!

Pink Perfume

Hello all!

I am back with another craftroom Creation featuring Coffee Bean Design digital stamps, For my cards today I played with the perfume jars collection.

To start off you'll need to print your images out I recommend on card stock, I used 80 pound white card stock but you can use whatever you have. I find coloring relaxing so I choose to use my Copic markers to color in these images. I am working on improving my pink blends (RV/R) since I struggle with them a bit and practice makes progress.

Heart Jar: RV11, R83, R85, RV34, R59, W1, W3, W5
Tear Drop Jar: RV02, RV04, RV06, RV19, N2, N5,C7 C9

I find with the RV/R color family I need to use more colors to get the blend I want. I tried 3 and 4 marker blends and they work but I wasn't getting the depth I wanted. I added another marker to my blends and got much better dimension. I notice with the RV/R color family the lighter colors pick up  more of the darker color than with other color families. When coloring I went lightest to darkest then back out but didn't color over the previous area just blended out the edge. After my images were all colored I added details with my white gel pen and a small “kisses” stamp.

These images are easy to fussy cut out but even if it's not perfect just run a water based black marker along the edge to cover the white core of the paper and it will look perfect.

If you are anything like me you have plenty of pattern paper hanging out in you craftspace, so use it! I pulled out scraps from the “Me and You” collection by “Me And My Big Ideas” to created 3 cards, you can find the bonus card over on my blog. I cut my scraps down to make layers for an A2 card (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches) and uses foam tape to pop up my colored jars. Once I had the placement for my heart jar I colored in a shadow on the pattern paper to ground it.

Using digital stamps along with pattern paper scraps is a great way to make easy beautiful cards. I hope you enjoyed these cards. If you want see more of my craft room creation you can follow me on social media @TheCraftBean.

Daffodils are a sign of Spring...

Salima here with another creation for The Coffee Beans Design Team using a beautiful digi file from The Coffee Bean Stamp Machine.  I fussy cut the file our of Whisper White card stock and colored in the daffodils using Light Mango Melody, Dark Mango Melody and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin Blend markers.  The stems were colored with the Light Old Olive Stampin Blend marker. I used Dark Seaside Spray Stampin Blend marker to color the inside of the jar to resemble water. I adhered the central image to more Whisper White card stock which was cut using a stitched border rectangle die. I attached this to some black and white designer paper and on to a Whisper White A2 size card base.  Of course, I had to add some bling with clear rhinestones attached with glue.  The sentiment is die cut 4 times with Basic Black card stock glued together for a little dimension.  Hope you enjoyed this card.

Tic Tac Toe

Anne has asked us to do something a little different - something other than cards. So I decided to create a Tic Tac Toe game using Alicorn and the Musical Rainbow as playing pieces (instead of Xs and Os).

SUPPLIES USED:
3 - 12x12 sheets of heavy cardstock
1 - 8.5x11 sheet of heavy cardstock
Chipboard - optional
Computer and Printer
Laminator and sheets
Glue
Hole punch
Color pencils or markers
Crochet thread
Drawer pull (or anything that can be used as a pull)

OUTSIDE BOX:
Cut a 9-1/2”X10-3/4” piece of heavy cardstock from a 12X12 sheet - score at 1-1/4”on the 10-3/4” side
Cut a 12”X12” sheet of cardstock at 9-1/2” X 12” then score at 1/2”, 10”, and 11-1/4”

DRAWER:
Score a 12X12 piece of cardstock at 1/2” and 1-3/8” on all four (4) sides.

CHIPBOARD:
Cut (2) pcs of chipboard at 9-3/8”X9-3/8” (optional)
Cut (2) pcs of chipboard at 1”X9-3/8” (optional)

I created a background using Alicorn and the Musical Rainbow (both images by Judy Markowitz and available on The Multi Craters Craft Cafe). I placed them in an alternating pattern on 12X12 cardstock, changing the color of both several times for a more varied look. I used Microsoft Publisher to do this. I then printed the background paper and drew a 3X3 grid onto one of the pieces (will be the top of the box). I scored each piece and folded along the score marks.

If you want a more stable box, attach the large chipboard to the wrong side of the two (2) printed backgrounds between the score marks in the large area.

Create the outside box by attaching the two (2) pieces of 9-1/2” tall cardstock together
(using the 1/2” score area of one sheet and the 3/4” score area of the other sheet) creating a box. Then attach a 1” X 9-3/8” piece of chipboard to the inside of each side of the box.

Drawer: Remove the 3 squares (created by the score marks) from the outside area of each corner of the 12X12 scored paper, leaving the last square at each corner as tabs (notch for best attachment). Glue the tabs to the inside of the near perpendicular side forming a box. Then fold the 1/2” section of each side into the inside of the drawer and glue them down (for reinforcement of sides). Attach a pull to one side of the drawer.
Slide the drawer into the box.

In a software program (I used Publisher), lay out 9 Mixed images of Alicorn and the Musical Rainbow at a size of slightly less than 2”. Place a 2” circle around each image. Print the page onto heavy cardstock. Punch out the images with a 2” punch using the printed circles as a guide. Color the images as desired. Run the images through the laminator. Punch or cut around them (either by fussy cutting or using a circle die) leaving a 1/2” border (2-1/2” circles). Punch 1//8” holes around the perimeter of each circle.

Using crochet thread, crochet an edge around each circle using the 1/8” holes to crochet through - your choice as to the design.

Store the playing pieces in the drawer.

Have fun!

Be sure to check out all of the images available in The Multi Crafters Craft Cafe.

Let me know what you think. I’m giving this one to my great grandkids.

Who doesn't love Alicorn?

Alicorn

Hello, Jacqueline here with the Coffee Beans. This is Alicorn and she is just so sweet. I created a 5x7 card for my DT project. I just love how she is flying through the sky.

First, I created the background using the following Distress Inks:

Mowed Lawn
Peacock Feathers
Spiced Marmalade
Spun Sugar
Tumbled Glass

I wanted a multi-colored sky. I love the way it came out. I also colored a second sheet of paper for stamping the sentiments.

I used the following Copics to color Alicorn:

RV000, RV04, RV10, RV11, G00, G12, B00, B12, Y000, Yo4, BG10, and Bg11

Alicorn is carefree and unique. I used sentiments that conveyed the same message; that it is okay to be different.

You can purchase Alicorn by clicking on the Multi Crafters Cafe and looking in the album. There are several wonderful and new images!

Be sure to visit The Multi Crafters Cafe!  Loads of exciting things are coming up!

I will see you again soon, with another card using Alicorn and Music Notes. Both images were created by our lovely Judy Markowitz.

May Flowers

Hello Coffee Bean Design fans!

My name is Brandi M. aka The Craft Bean and I have a couple craftroom creation to share with you. I got a chance to play with the super sweet daffodil digital stamp by Coffee Bean Designs.

I started out by printing the images on card stock I used a 80 pound card stock but you can use any card stock that works with your printer.

I love coloring and as soon as I saw these floral images my Copic makers called to me. I also think these are beautiful when water colored. You can check out my blog to see that. I used 3 color blends, coloring from lightest to darkest then back to get an even blend.

Copic Marker Combs:
Jar: B01, B00, B0000 Leaves:G19, G29, YG09 Flowers: YR68, YR12, Y32

Since I had two images colored I decide to make two card. I cut one piece of 8 ½ by 11 craft card stock in half to get two A2 card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½) For the first card I trimmed the flowers in the jar down (2 7/8 by 4 3/8) and matted it on yellow card stock and adding a “Hello Friend” sentiment for an older Tim Holtz set. Then went digging through my scrap bin and found a plaid pattern paper that coordinated with my color pallet. I trimmed my scrap down to 2 by 5 ½ inked the edges with brushed corduroy Distress Ink. I adhered my plaid paper along the edge of the card and then used fun foam to pop up my focal point.

For my second card I fussy cut the floral image and inked the edges with a black water base maker to pretend I cut it out perfectly. I used more of the plaid paper along the bottom 3rd of the card to ground my flowers and stamped “Thinking of You” from another Tim Holtz set. For my focal point I added foam tape to the back of the flower and Tombow glue to the steams to add more depth to this simple card.

Thank you for letting me share my craftroom creations with you all! I will be back soon with more to share. If you just can't wait you can head over to my blog for a bonus card. If you are inspired to create to create with this or another Coffee Bean Designs you can find them here. You can also find me all over social media @TheCraftBean.
Happy Crafting!

Thank you to Judy Markowitz for this week's gorgeous graphics! It was absolutely perfect for what I had in mind . Alicorn is the most versatile unicorn there is plus she is very pleasing on the eye for any occasion!
 Alicorn

Everybody's birthday is important! Even more so in this time of the lock down. I thought I would make a birthday table display

I printed out the graphic 3 times but only used the 2. I Coloured all the pictures with my alcohol pens . I cut them all out. I stuck the music cloud to the vase and added an Alicorn. I filled the vase of the vase with glass marbles and added a glass full of little lights . I then wrapped  poly ball in silver foil. I added wires to the rest of the Alicorns and stuck them in the ball. I then stamped a large happy birthday and embossed it in wow embossing powder in good and coloured in the rest with alcohol pens . I added a wire and placed it in the poly ball behind the alicorns .

I had fun doing this and I hope you all like it . Thanks for looking and don't forget to stay home and be safe!!! ❤

Riding the Musical Rainbow

Judy Markowitz provided us with two (2) images this month. So please be sure to check out her blog.

I think Alicorn wanted to ride the musical rainbow, so I sent her over two (2) musical rainbows to ensure that she had a stable ride.

I mirrored one of the rainbow images so that I could meet them together. I then copied the cloud part of the rainbow to go around the edges of the card. I colored the card using my Ohuhu markers. I put some Stickles on the notes and on her eye. I cut out a shaped background and placed the topper onto that and then placed that onto a 5x7 card.

I hope Alicorn enjoys her ride.

Everyone keep healthy and safe and have a wonderful Mother's Day (USA).

Over the rainbow

Well not quite - more like over the music or ?

No I'm not entirely rambling. I'm referring to the latest project I just made using these cute stamps made by Judy Markowitz of the Lady Beans - both are available for purchase in the Multi Crafters Craft Cafe on Facebook.

I didn't have much time to make the project so I settled on making a card and combined the two stamps and the result is this:

I colored in the stamps with Promarkers and Sharpies and used a Glitter Gelly Roll on the hair in between the colors plus as dots in the eye. Then I added some colorful enamel dots here and there.

This will be perfect as a Birthday card for a little girl who loves unicorns.

Thanks for watching - as always, please leave me a comment below.
