Fresh and Springy Tulips Altered Paint Brush

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with The Coffee Beans sharing a fresh and springy altered paintbrush. I used the beautiful Tulips digi stamp from our own Annie Collins which can be found on the Facebook Page The Multi Crafters Craft Cafe, go to photos, click albums, look for The Coffee Bean Stamp Machine, scroll till see the tulip set.

Supplies: Paintbrush, old and painty or a new one that can be painted up.
                Paint of your choice
                Foam brush
Lace, ephemera, embellishments, digi image, ribbon
                Hot glue gun

What I did: I painted my new brush, here and there. I painted the bristle of the brush to match, just the top layer and then along the bottom of the bristles.

Using a heat gun, I dried the brush top and sides. I then carefully hit the bristles with heat which then caused the bristle to melt and shrink a bit, making it looked like it had been used.

Then taking care I scrap paint off  here and then further adding to the used look.

I then colored my tulips using an eye make up applicator and distress oxide ink, starting at the bottom and blending up.

Using the glue gun I adhered the lace, arranged the tulips gluing down, added the ephemera, the ribbon for the hanger and there you have it!

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until Next Time......

Love Monsters

Hello everyone :-) Helle from My Creative Hideout has hijacked the blog ;-)

Today it's my turn to show a little DT project for the Coffee Beans Design Team

This time I made a Flip Flap Card that I found in the Silhouette Design Store ID #136973 by Lori Whitlock and I used the cute Love Monsters digi Stamp.

I got the idea of the little monsters being caught inside the jar, ready to be given to someone special either as a Mother's Day card or maybe (in these crazy times) a Get Better Card. No matter the occasion, these darlings are sure to bring the message of love :-)

I used AC Cardstock, pattern paper from Doodlebug Design's Fairytales Collection and a piece of Acetate (doesn't show at all on this picture). The lid is made from Bazzill Bling Cardstock.

I colored in the stamp with Promarkers.

Now it's ready to be shipped of to someone special.

The Love Monsters digi stamp I've used is sponored by:

Thanks for joining me today - please leave a comment below if you like this card.

Happy Mother's Day!

This is Jacqueline for the Coffee Beans. I am new to the team and am so excited to share my creations with you. I am beyond excited to be on the team!

For this funny Mother's Day card I used Love Monsters by Bugaboo Stamps. Bugaboo creates really adorable images. This year, I wanted to give my mother a fun Mother's Day card and I think this one is just perfect. My mother is from Twickenham, England, so we celebrate Mother's Day twice. We live in the US and our Mother's Day is on May, while in the UK it is in March. Such fun!

I created a 6x6 card using paper from my stash. I matted the floral purple paper with black paper. I typed the sentiment on my computer. I often type my own sentiments. I wanted something funny to go with this stamp. I used a purple button to accentuate the sentiment, which I also matted in black. Buttons can be a fun embellishment to use. To keep the button in place I used fabric glue.

I used my hodgepodge of Spectrum Noir markers to color the monsters. I think that Spectrum Noir ink is very rich and intense. I colored on Copic XPress It paper. The image is printed at 4 inches.

I used the following colors:

Blueish Green Monster - AB1, AB2, LV3, CT1, and CT3
Green Monster - LB1, LB2, LB3, BGR1, and BGR2
Pink Monster - CR4, CR5, CR6, LG2, and LG3
Tan Monster - F6, F7, F8, HB1, and HB2 with a touch of LV1 for the eyes.
Purple Monster - HB1, HB2, HB3, LV1, LG1, and LG2

When I color, I try to think of where my light source is coming from. It makes it easier to shade if you decide how you want the light to shine on your image. I generally start with my lightest shade, move to my medium, and then followed by the darkest shade. I put 2 or 3 layers on as I color. I think the more layers the richer the colors look.

I hope that my mother likes this card. I also want to wish you a very Happy Mother's Day this year.

Please follow me on my Face Book Creative Paper Crafting with JacquiePlease join in on the fun at The Coffee Bean Challenge Blog and in the Facebook group Multi Crafters Craft Cafe

Until next time, take care!

Celebrating All Moms

Hello Everyone. My name is Chrystina and I am so excited to be a guest designer for Coffee Beans. I enjoyed creating these super cute variation cards for Mothers Day.

Card size is A2 and colored used graphics from Coffee Bean Design’s own Anne Collins. Flowers colored using COPIC marker, with simple embellishments using stickles and sequins.

Find The Journey: this card was created with those more earthy tone friendly moms. Flowers were colored with Y02, Y04, Y06, FYG2, G09, and G04 Copic markets. Leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink first and then using a simple finger dauber color was added to the edges using Evergreen ink from CTMH. Finally I shaped the flowers using a simple flower shaping mold and glued down to add texture to card front. Finally simple embellishments were added using stickles in a pale yellow tone and wink a Stella was used to add just a bit sparkle to the flower and leaves.

Live w/Passion: this card used more traditional Mother’s Day card colors. Flowers were colored using RV09, RV21, R11, R21, FY1, G04, & G09 Copic markets. The sentiment was stamped in black Memento ink and then the edges were softened using Raspberry Ripple from CTMH and a bright pink stickles tone for the final embellishments. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=13KA1_VbHTEMzTBu30Qn-bzSrpeBQ2pKdhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=18_Gw441mQyc4C6uyVkoXj65cmr-YtnYi

Cosmos Mother's Day Card

Hello my crafty buddies,

This is my first blog for The Coffee Beans. I am a Guest Design Team member and excited for the opportunity to contribute along with the wonderful crafty ladies on the Design Team.

My card was made using the Cosmos design by Annie Collins. Since it is almost Mother's Day in the UK, I decided to make a Mother's Day card.

This card was made with the following additional products:
  • Heartfelt Creations "Singing in the Rain Collection" cardstock
  • Papercraft Inspirations "Vintage Swan & Rose" vellum paper
  • Fun Stampers Journey - Ornamental Label dies
  • Crafter's Companion word dies
  • Stampabilities ink pads - Light Pink and Pastel Yellow
  • Spectrum Noir Colorista Aqua Pencils - Apricot, Sunshine, and Nutmeg
  • Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers - Tawny
  • Spectrum Noir Basics Markers - Ivy, Hot Pink, Regal, and Golden Yellow
  • Stickles - Twinkle

Print and cut two (2) sets of the Cosmos design by Annie Collins.
Cut two (2) of the large die and one (1) of the second smallest die from the Fun Stampers Journey Ornamental Label die set using the Heartfelt Creations cardstock.
Cut one (1) of the second largest die from the Fun Stampers Journey Ornamental Label using the Papercraft Inspirations vellum.
Cut a 2" x 5-1/2" strip from the Heartfelt Creations cardstock; on the long side, score at 1/2" and at 3". Fold on the score lines.
Die cut the word dies.

Using a dabber or sponge, fill in one set of the flowers with the Light Pink Stampabilities ink.
Using a dabber or sponge, fill in one set of the flowers with the Pastel Yellow Stampabilities ink.
Outline the inside outer edge of the pink flowers with the Hot Pink marker.
Outline the inside outer edge of the yellow flowers with the Golden Yellow marker.
Color the center of the pink flowers with the Regal marker.
Color the center of the yellow flowers with the Tawny marker.
Color the stems of the flowers with the Ivy marker.
Fill the center of each flower with the Stickles Twinkle - make sure to let it dry.
Fussy cut the flowers.

Adhere the flowers to one of the large die cuts - this will be the front of the card.
Adhere the vellum to the other large die cut - this will be the inside of the card.
Adhere the 1/2" fold to the top of the inside large die.
Place tape or glue on the bottom half (below the fold) of the strip and adhere the front bottom part of the card to the strip.
Adhere the words to the small die cut; mount at the bottom of the inside of the card using foam squares or circles.

Hi everyone! Anne Ingram here! I am using images designed by our very own lady beans designer Annie Collins. Her images are fanrastic, clear , concise and very full of beautiful detail.
Today's images are the Easter lambs.

I decided to use a box card to make an Easter card . I used my favourite sizzle filigree cutter to decorate the edge flaps .  Then added a spring sky with MFT stencil and Tim Holtz cracked China distress ink . I printed out the images nd cut them out using my Brother cutting machine. I hand painted all the images in water colours and spritzed with sparkle spray . Having stamped and cut out my sentiment , I then put it all together to make it look like spot lambs in a meadow .
You can find all of Annie's images for sale over in the Multi crafters craft cafe . Just look for the shop in the album's .

Thank you so much for looking . Have a great day xxx

Bunny on Cloud Nine

Hello everyone - My name is Helle Bilde Müller of My Creative Hideout and I'm a new member on the Coffee Beans Design Team. I am very excited to be here and hope to bring something new and fresh to the team if possible.

Today I want to start out with not one…..not two…..but three projects I made with the darling digi stamp Easter Bunny Hot Air Balloon from Bugaboo Stamps.
For all three projects I used the trace and the offset options in my Silhouette Studio software and print and cut the images. Then I colored them in by hand.

First of is a cute 3D picture:
This cute picture is one I found in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #141563
I simply switched out the ballon with the digi stamp that I've colored in with Promarkers.

The frame is given extra dimension by using foam tape and the bunny plus the little piece of cloud is secured with 3D dots.

Next is an Easel Card:
This card is also one I found in the Silhouette Design Store Design ID #57245

The background is a print and cut that fits so well with the stamp.

I colored in the stamp with Sharpies and pop-dotted a small cloud on the right.

A very easy and fun little card for someone special.

Finally I made a Gift Card Gift Bag:
This is also a Silhouette Design Store fil - Design ID #162508

This little bag is also dimensional as the bunny kinda floats inside in a little scene. Candy can be put in there too for more fun. Behind the bunny is a little insert/pocket for a gift card. The little cloud on the outside of the bag, is adhered with a pop-dot.

This time I also used Promarkers to color in the bunny and I do find these easier to work with.

So these are my three projects using the same digi stamp.

This is deff some what out of my usual way of papercrafting but I do love a challenge. What do you think? Which one is your favorite?

Thank you so much for joining me today - hope to see you again next time
