Better With Friends Card

 Hello Crafters!

I wanted to share with you, this card I created with the tea/coffee cup design.

The cup was printed on glossy photo paper. Yes, I know..... I need to work on my blending :o)

I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, then cut the image out.

The background is some board shelf lining paper and a scan of lace on a pillow case.

The edges and tag were inked with Ranger's Antique Linen.

The sentiment was printed onto beige paper, a tag punch was used, inked and adhered with a mini brad.

It's all mounted on A4 white cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Coffee Bean Design Team Blog.

Have a fabulous day!

Trendy Skull Purse SVG Dreaming Tree- Coffee Beans 2020

Welcome Back Friends,

Robin here with the The Coffee Beans   sharing my project sponsored by The Dreaming Tree , I used the Damask Bag SVG.

Creating this one of kind bag was a first for me! This is my very first time working with a SVG file and a Cricut! I have to admit I was imitated, for sure. I have been paper crafting for a very long time and have admired 3D projects from afar, Learning that the Dreaming Tree was sponsoring us for August was the shove I needed, I am hooked, line and sinker!!

Dreaming Tree has everything you need to get started !! Fabulous SVG's for any holiday, theme. or occasion, and their Freebie Library is extensive!! When it comes to assembly, not to worry, there is video for every SVG, that was clear and well explained.

Thank You for visiting and as always I appreciate your kind comments.

Until Next Time....

Robin

Interactive Dream Catcher Shaker Card

Hey Crafty Friends, Jas here.
I'm back to show you an Interactive shaker card today.

The image I am using for this project is the dream catcher drawn by our very own illustrator Becky Conley. I Started by printing my image on alcohol marker friendly cardstock.

Continuing the rainbow theme from my earlier blog post this month I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir Tri Blends (Dark Red Blend, Orange Blend, Pink Violet Blend, Blue Turquoise Blend) and added an older Spectrum Noir pen for my green (J1, 2 +3). After colouring the feathers I used the web lines of the dream catcher to follow over in the same colours to create this rainbow themed dreamcatcher.

Reaching for my pot of dies I pulled out the Heffy Doodle Stitched Rectangle dies and another favourite of mine the Bee Happy Hexagon Stitched Nesting dies. Starting with a smaller stitched rectangle to create the panel around the dream catcher to be the main focal point of my card.

Continuing with a larger stitched rectangle I cut the main panel for the card. I then took out 2 of the Hexagon dies, one to cut the shape into the main card panel and a slightly smaller one to cut the middle out of the larger hexagons so these could be stuck back on later completing the stitched affect across the card.

Now it was time to create the shaker element. I dont own acetate that is usually used however plastic wrapping of some sort works just as well and I save all those stamp sets clear packaging for just this purpose! Using double sided tape I stuck the clear sheet to the main card panel. I used double sided foam tape to stick the main panel to the card base and locking in the sequins within the hexagons. I chose red and white sequins as this is all I own in my stash!

To finish up I placed my dreamcatcher panel in the middle of the card and added the sentiment using the Heffy Doodle Stitched Alphabetters dies.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are able to take some inspiration from my blog today.

Aquarium Shaker Card

Greetings fellow crafters,

I hope you are having a crafty good day. I wanted to make something fun. So I used the cute fish digistamp by Becky Conley to fill my aquarium.

In Microsoft Publisher, I created a 5 x 7 card layout. I went to Google and found a royalty-free image of an aquarium. I printed out several of the fish images and colored them in using various mediums (alcohol markers, crayons, and watercolor pencils). Then I cut out the fish.

I cut a piece of acetate to cover the aquarium and then cut a black rectangle to go around the outside of the acetate. I attached 3D foam tape to the underneath of the acetate. I put the fish in the middle of the aquarium and then taped the acetate onto the top of the aquarium.

Now I have cute little fish swimming around in the aquarium.

Digital stamps can be used in so many ways:
  • You can print them, color them, then cut them out
  • They can be sized to whatever project you want - multiple sizes of the same digi on the same project
  • They can be colored by hand or with a computer program so that the entire card can be computer generated
  • They can be cropped, mirrored, duplicated, stacked, etc.

So go check out all the awesome images available in our Etsy store. And have fun creating!

My First Post! Fish Canvas

 Hello Crafty Friends!

I'm so excited to here with the Coffee Bean Design Team and to share my very first project with you.

I selected the tropical fish sketch to finish off an acrylic pour canvas.

The acrylic paint pour uses many shades of blue and white.  It's also a "dirty" pour, which means I added various glitters and mica pigments as well as the necessary pouring medium.

The tropical fish was printed on watercolor paper and colored with Spectrum Nor alcohol markers, acrylic paint and a Krylon gold metallic paint pen.

I cut out the tropical fish and attached it to the canvas with Craft Bond spray adhesive.

It's a shame you can't see all of the shimmer, both in the pour and the fish!

Thanks for stopping by the Coffee Beans Design Team Blog, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Craft on!

Becky

The World Needs a Cup of Tea

I am so tired of listening to the news these days. Everything is upside down and we cannot seem to get any good news.

So when our design team received some awesome drawings from Becky Conley, the first one that caught my eye was this cup of steaming tea (or coffee - your choice). It made me think that things could be much nicer if we could all just sit down together and have a lovely cup of tea, especially in such a beautiful cup.

I printed the image using my HP laserjet. I colored the cup with my Ohuhu markers using the following numbers: 42, 44, 47, 48, 83, 84, 87, 94, and WG 0.5. I then fussy cut the cup.

Using Microsoft Publisher, I created the saying and printed it on an 8.5" x 5.5" piece of 65# cardstock (again on my HP laserjet). I folded the cardstock to create the card. Then using Stampabilities pigment ink in Pastel Yellow and Lavender, I created a very light background on the card. I then stuck the teacup to the card using 3D foam tape circles.

This card is fun and hopeful which the world sorely needs now.

Thank you for looking and please check out the other images available in our Etsy shop.

May God bless you with peace, health, and happiness.

Are you a coffee lover like me?

Hello Crafty Friends, Jas here and I am super excited to share with you today my first blog post as part of the Coffee Bean Design Team.

The image I am sharing is by our lovely illustrator Becky Conley. As a coffee lover I just knew I had to use this on my project.

I started by creating a file on the computer by adding several of the same image to a page creating a patterned paper look.

To colour my images I used mainly Spectrum Noir TriBlends (Dark Red blend, Orange blend, Citrus blend, Ice Blue blend). I added a couple of older Spectrum Noir markers for the dark blue and greens (AG1, AG2, TB7, TB8)

To cut the panel for my card I reached for a favourite of mine, the Stitched Rectangle Dies from my Heffy Doodle stash.

It was then time to decide on a sentiment, I don't have any coffee pun sentiments so decided to create my own. To do this I have used another Heffy Doodle product, this time the Stitched Alphabetters Dies.

I am pleased with how bright and vibrant it came out and hope I've managed to inspire you!

Thanks for stopping by, why not check out what the rest of the team have been up to, or visit us over at the Multi Crafters Craft Cafe on Facebook to join a range of talent for inspiration.

I look forward to seeing all your lovely projects!
